Apply for a Spay/Neuter Voucher
NC Pet Project provides financial assistance for qualifying pet owners across North Carolina.
How it works: Submit your application below. If approved, you will receive a voucher by email that can be redeemed at a licensed veterinarian of your choice. The voucher covers most or all of the spay/neuter surgery cost.
Eligibility
- Must be a North Carolina resident
- Must demonstrate financial need (Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, SSI, or income below 200% federal poverty level)
- Pet must be a dog or cat
- Limit of 3 vouchers per household per year
Application
Applications are temporarily paused.
We are not accepting new voucher applications at this time while we secure funding to serve the next round of pet owners. Check back soon, or take action with us to help us grow this program faster.
